Dear clients,

I have been able to reopen my practice as of July, 2020. As you arrive for your appointments these coming months there will be new protocols to follow as we all adjust to our new normal. One thing that will not change is your Rolfing session itself. Other than the fact that we’ll both be wearing masks, your session will proceed in the same way it always has.

There have been new regulations established, both state and federal, for conducting a healthcare practice as well as guidelines from my own professional governing body.

For now, in order to abide by these, the following policies and practices will be in place:

  • Clients and practitioners are required to wear masks. Please bring your own fresh mask (not one that you’ve been using for a while) and wear it when you arrive. I have a small supply of medical masks if you should forget yours.

  • For your use A restroom key will be hanging outside my door. In addition, hand sanitizer will be available for use at your discretion as you enter the studio.

  •  All touched surfaces such as doorknobs, side-tables and treatment tables will be cleaned before and after each client with a CDC approved disinfectant (mine is unscented, though alcohol based). All table linens will be freshly changed between clients (as they always have been). If you think you might feel cold during your session, please bring your own blanket or cover. At this time there can be no shared linens.

  •  Air Filtration: In addition to the cleaning of surfaces I have installed a state-of-the-art air filtration system which purifies and replaces the air in the studio 4-5 times an hour. This special system kills bacteria and virus.

  •  Waiting in the building ahead of your appointment is discouraged at this time. The building management has removed all hallway rest areas, and the chair I have always placed outside my door will no longer be available. Please arrive on time, but not early, for your appointment so that I may welcome you right in to the workspace.

If you should arrive in town early—especially clients traveling from a distance—feel free to relax in your car or go for a walk on the bike path adjacent to my building until your appointment time.

And finally, a reminder that importantly bears repeating . . .

  • Please do not come to your appointment if you’ve had any symptoms in the past 14 days, if you have recently traveled out of the region, or have any of the symptoms that are associated with Covid-19. This applies as well to having a household member who has expressed any symptoms. We're all aware that there are asymptomatic carriers of this disease, but the goal is to minimize any chance of exposure to the best of our shared abilities.

Thank you in advance for taking these extra steps and for supporting me in creating a safe space for all of us.
